Menu Overview

File

Toolbar - New Project.png Ctrl+N New Pulls up the New Project Dialog for starting a new project. This will not close any projects you currently have open.
Toolbar - Open Project.png Ctrl+O Open Opens any existing Phoenix Project Manager project.
Close Closes the active project.
Toolbar - Save.png Ctrl+S Save Saves the active open project. This is only available if you've chosen a file to save your project to (using "Save As..." in the File menu), or previously opened the project from a saved file and you've made changes to the project.
Toolbar - Save As.png Save As Saves your open project as a new file (or overwrites an existing file under a different name).
Save As PDF Prints your open project to a PDF document. This will print the Barchart if you are in Barchart view, and the Network Diagram if you are in Network Diagram view.
Create Storepoint Saves off a new storepoint based on your current project. (see Storepoints)
Toolbar - Project Info.png Project Info Edit your general project information.
Page Setup Setup printer, page size, margins, and orientation.
Print Preview Icon.png Print Preview Preview the project printout with your current printer and page layout settings.
Page Layout Setup page layout settings such as date ranges, horizontal page count, and footer information.
Toolbar - Print.png Ctrl+P Print Prints your project using your current Page Layout settings. This will print the Barchart if you are in Barchart view, and the Network Diagram if you are in Network Diagram view.
Exit Quit Phoenix Project Manager.

Edit

Toolbar - Undo.png Ctrl+Z Undo Reverts the last change you made to the schedule. This will not undo changes to the layout or view options except network line assignments.
Toolbar - Redo.png Ctrl+Y Redo Repeats the last change that was reverted.
Toolbar - Cut.png Ctrl+X Cut Copies all selected activities to the clipboard, then deletes them from the project.
Toolbar - Copy.png Ctrl+C Copy Copies all selected activities to the clipboard.
Toolbar - Paste.png Ctrl+V Paste Copies all activities on the clipboard to the project. This will pull up the Paste Dialog with options for activity Id renaming and other copy options.
Toolbar - Delete.png Delete Delete Deletes all currently selected activities.
Toolbar - Select All.png Ctrl+A Select All Selects all activities in the project.
Ctrl+I Invert Selection Selects all activities not selected, and deselects all selected activities.
Ctrl+E Fill Cell Takes the focused Activity List column value for the focused activity, and sets all other selected activities to the same value. This only works with certain columns such as description, duration, dates, and budget amounts.
Toolbar - Find And Replace.png Ctrl+F Find & Replace Looks for words you want to change in all activity descriptions and replaces them.
Toolbar - Find Activity.png Ctrl+Shift+F Find Activity Looks for activities by Id, description, or specific start or finish dates.
Link Selection Creates relationships between all selected activities in the order they appear in Barchart view.
Unlink Selection Deletes relationships between all selected activities that match the given type.
Ctrl+Shift+C Collapse Network Lines Assigns all selected activities to the first selected activity's network line number putting all selected activities on the same network line.

View

Ctrl+B Barchart Switches to Barchart view.
Ctrl+D Network Diagram Switches to Network Diagram view.

Ctrl+T Toggle Relationships Hides or shows relationships in Barchart and Network Diagram views.
Toggle Non-driving Relationships Hides or shows non-driving relationships in Barchart and Network Diagram views.
Layouts All layouts can be managed from this menu. (see Layouts and Formatting)

Insert

Ctrl+R Related Activity Adds an activity related finish to start with the selected activity. This also assigns the same activity codes to the new activity that are assigned to the selected one.
Ctrl+U Unrelated Activity Adds a non-related activity to the schedule. If there is an activity selected with assigned activity codes, the new activity will be assigned to those same codes.
Text Switches to Draw Text Mode when in Network Diagram view.

Format

Activity Editor Options Change visible Activity Editor options and manage profiles. (see Activity Editor Options)
Format Show the Format window with all formatting options.
Format - Timescale.png Timescale Configure timescale tiers, fonts, and colors. (see Timescale)
Format - Columns.png Columns Manage viewable columns in the Activity List. (see Columns)
Format - Bars.png Bars Change the way activities are drawn in Barchart view. (see Bars)
Format - Sightlines.png Sightlines Turn year, month, week, or daily sightlines on as well as change the way nonwork calendar days are shown. (see Sightlines)
Format - Organization.png Organization Change fonts and colors of activity codes and the order in which they are organized in both Barchart and Network Diagram views. (see Organization)
Format - Rows.png Rows Change the size of rows in Barchart view.
Format - Dates.png Dates Change the format that all dates are shown in. (see Dates)
Format - Critical Path.png Critical Path Change what is shown as critical, the color, and the threshold at which activities are considered critical. (see Critical Path)

Tools

Spell Checker Icon.png Spell Checker Correct spelling mistakes in all activity descriptions. (see Using the Spelling Checker)
CPM Checker Icon.png Run CPM Checker Identify possible flaws in the schedule. (see CPM Checker)
CPM Checker Settings Change the parameters used when running the CPM Checker.
Stop CPM Checker Stop the interactive CPM Checker.
Review CPM Exceptions Edit or delete existing CPM exceptions.
Filters Setup criteria based on activity details under which activities are shown in the current layout. (see Filtering Activities)
Import Import a schedule from another format such as MPX, Microsoft® Project XML, Primavera P3 and CSV. (see Importing)
Export Export schedule data to another format such as MPX, Microsoft® Project XML, and CSV. (see Exporting)
Reports Print out reports on various details of the schedule. (see Running Reports)

Schedule

Sort Setup Barchart view to sort activities by Id, description, start or finish dates.
Auto Scheduling Turn auto scheduling on or off. While on, Phoenix will automatically reschedule everytime you make a change to an activity.
F2 Schedule Now Schedules the project using the scheduling method specified in your Scheduling Options.
Update on Schedule Marks all early dates in the schedule up to a given date as actual or estimated dates.
Begin Update Switches into update mode optionally saving off a storepoint.
End Update Finalizes the current update changing the data date to the new proposed data date.
Cancel Update Reverts any changes made during the current update.
Scheduling Options Change the current scheduling method and other scheduling options.
Comparisons Setup previous storepoints compared against the current schedule in Barchart view. (see Comparisons)

Info

Code Library Icon.png Code Library Manage available activity codes and the order of values. (see Setting up Activity Codes)
Calendars Icon.png Calendars Add or remove holidays and non-work days from the project calendar. (see Setting up Calendars)
Cost Accounts Icon.png Cost Accounts Setup cost accounts to track project allocation and expenses.
Resource Library Icon.png Resource Library Setup or change resources that can be assigned to activities in your schedule. (see Setting up Resources)
