We were awarded the $96 million Isleta Hotel and Casino project in Albuquerque, New Mexico due in large part on our ability to provide the Owner with a fast-track schedule that would result in a completed project in less than 20 months. The decision to utilize the Phoenix scheduling software and support services proved to be key in the successful delivery of this project.

Phoenix was able to quickly develop user-friendly schedules that we used in monitoring the design process, managing the construction work, tracking changes and a host of other uses throughout the duration of the project. Another great feature of Phoenix was the ability of our jobsite staff to use the software and produce updates, reports and look-aheads on the jobsite without the need for extensive training or outside support. Phoenix would be a great tool for any project.

We used Phoenix Project Manger to schedule the design and construction of our Office and Parking Structure Complex in North Hollywood California. The Office Tower was eleven floors of cast-in-place concrete and the Parking Structure was six levels of cast-in-place concrete. Schedules were updated monthly and mini schedules were generated for look ahead and subcontractor coordination.

Phoenix Project Manager was also used to plan and schedule four floors of tenant construction that was built concurrent with the Shell & Core. With good planning and schedule management the construction was completed on schedule and in budget in one year, August 2009.

I have been using Phoenix Project Manager since 2006, on a multitude of differing projects across the country. I have used this program for delay documentation and delay analysis and for conceptual schedules for our capital market clients. I find this software to be more user friendly and more adaptive to our type of management and daily needs.

I look forward to receiving the most current updates soon, thank you for all your support.

I have been using Phoenix Project Manager for the past couple of months to produce schedules for the project in Raleigh NC that I am currently supervising.

I have found that the program is easy to understand and build a schedule. My use to date is for a series of small separate schedules, this is only because the current client required a master schedule over a year ago and they had specified using P3 EC.

I will most certainly consider using Phoenix on my next project.

Some of the things that caught my attention with your Scheduling Program are:

  • Ease of setting up the template
  • Ease of inputting the activities
  • Ability to undo
  • Ability to status and update without losing the past history
  • Ability to look at the critical path
  • Ability to filter and sort
  • Ability to summarize
  • Use of hammock activities

I thought you would like to see my first attempt at using real scheduling software. I have tried some others (even Microsoft Project) and really struggled, always defaulting to the old-fashioned pencil techniques I could control.

I was pleasantly surprised at the results and what I could get done - since I don't know (and don't really want to know) a thing about all the technical parts of scheduling. Once I had the tasks entered in, I could move them around on the screen and ignore the Activity Editor, just letting it do its thing.

I have many questions, of course, and lots to learn, but it was really great. Well done.

We asked Poulsen Construction Management to produce a detailed completion schedule for the Cardinals Stadium in a very accelerated timeframe. By utilizing Phoenix Project Manager, PCM was able to not only accomplish this goal but provide Hunt with a powerful tool designed to ensure our construction team would produce a coordinated, efficient and on time completion.

I've reviewed your new Phoenix scheduling program and am quite impressed! You've done an excellent job simplifying and organizing this program such that 1) it's easier to use than other products on the market, 2) has several very important options not available in other products and most importantly 3) requires no special training. If you can operate MS Project or Suretrak, then you can operate Phoenix.

Some of the key things I noticed and see a great use for were:

  • The ability to use a single file for the baseline and all scheduling updates, as well as the ability to review all schedule updates side by side. I was equally impressed as to how easy this was.
  • The predecessor and successor windows are neatly tucked to the top of the screen, not blocking the screen.
  • You can very simply add task notes as reminders to yourself, or a heads up to others who may be updating the schedule.
  • I was able to easily navigate through the program and found it to be very user friendly. Even the more sophisticated components were self-explanatory.
  • Though your experience is in Construction, Phoenix is not industry-specific. This Program easily translates to any industry.

Good luck with your venture. I really believe this Program is going to gain acclaim very quickly.
